Angolan Capital Markets Commission (cmc.ao) launches Emerging Program to facilitate the process of raising finance by SMEs with high potential.
The Emerging Program aims to guide and support SMEs with high potential allow them to become more attractive, improve their performance and raise capital in financial markets.
As an Operating Partner of the Program,
FI Luanda will develop activities with the purpose of orienting and supporting startups with high potential, in various stages of growth, to improve governance and management practices, mature their products and services, in order to enable them to issue financial instruments in the Capital Markets.
"This first experience will validate several hypotheses and expectations of opening the capital market to Startups, boosting private investment, innovation, and the creation and distribution of wealth" - Haymée Cogle , FI Luanda Managing Director.

About Emerging Program
The program will last for three years, encompassing 7 phases, namely:
1. Launch of the Program and application period;
2. Evaluation and selection of companies for the Program;
3. Mentoring process;
4. Roadshows to potential investors;
5. Fundraising;
6. Investment and Governance;
7. Admission to the SME segment of the Angola Exchange.
The Emerging Program is part of actions to promote the capital market, allowing the Angolan economy to have increasingly diversified financing options (crowdfunding, angel investing , venture capital), promoting sustainable growth and job creation.
